One of the most common questions that people ask successful leaders in network marketing is: "What is your secret to success in marketing?" More often than not, what the new person actually wants to hear is some kind of technical response such as: objection handling, locating prospects and customers or the best book to buy on the topic of sales. When a new person makes a decision to be a success and then takes responsibility for that decision failure is no longer an option.

Responsibility is simply the ability to respond to the challenges that you're given. Everyone is looking for the silver bullet, the secret that once you know it you immediately become extremely successful. Very prominent network marketer once said that "to be successful requires mind over mattress". A home based business provides a flexible work schedule which is attractive to many. However, it's important to realize that if you're not going to work you're not going to get paid. While it's true you can flex your schedule you can't become successful if you don't do the work.

So many people enter into marketing give up before they've given themselves enough time to succeed. For people that have always relied on an income from a job the idea of spending several thousand dollars to go on a holiday to Hawaii does not cause as much fear as investing several thousand dollars into A business. Oddly enough owning a successful network marketing business can afford you the option of living anywhere in the world very comfortably.

I've often heard people say, "Well I'll get the business cards when I started making some money." or "I'll get that website but first of all I have to start making some money." For the new entrepreneur, being in business can certainly be intimidating and perhaps the risk of loss may be greater than some are prepared for. The awesome thing about being in business though is that while there is a risk there is also a very high reward for success.
